All-star lineup at Super Ride VII: The 2009 United States Equestrian Drill Championship

The National Championship of mounted drill team and color guard competition will be held June 25th , 26th , and 27th at the Texas Rose Horse Park located just minutes from Lindale, TX.

Super Ride VII: The 2009 United States Equestrian Drill Championship (USEDC) will be blessed by world class musical performances by local favorites Finding Shade and by internationally known blues artists Curtis Salgado and Alan Hager.

The City of Lindale is the host community and title sponsor of the 2009 championship.

Area restaurants, hotels and specialty shops are a short drive from the competition venue. To better serve spectators and competitors, several local merchants offer delivery to the horse park.

The USEDC competition will begin each day at 7:00 a.m. and run throughout the day.

Nine Teams Qualified for "Ride of Champions"

Organizers of Super Ride VII: The 2009 United States Equestrian Drill Championship (USEDC) have confirmed that nine (9) teams are qualified for the 2009 USEDC Ride of Champions. The competition will be held on Friday, evening June 26th in the main arena at the Texas Rose Horse Park, near Lindale.

The city of Lindale, Texas is the host community and title sponsor of the 2009 championship. The USEDC will run June 24 - 27, at the horse park and will bring together top mounted color guard and drill team units from throughout the United States.

Teams qualified for the 2009 USEDC Ride of Champions include the two time defending National Open Drill Champion Canadian Valley Rangerettes (Oklahoma), the 2004 National Champion Matagorda County Thundering Hooves (Texas), the Ghostriders Precision Drill Team (Texas), the Bellville Heritage Cowgirls (Texas), Prime Time Express (Texas), the 2003 National Champion Latigo N Lace (Washington), the Easy Riders (Missouri), the 2006 National Champion Cowgirl Express (Ohio) and the 2005 National Champion Visalia Rockettes (California).

The USEDC Ride of Champions is open to USEDC Open Division National Champions, Reserve Champions and Second Runners-up from previous Super Ride competitions.

Super Ride VII to honor veterans and military families

Veterans and currently serving members of the United States military, and their immediate families, are invited to attend the Friday and Saturday sessions of Super Ride VII: The 2009 United States Equestrian Drill Championship (USEDC). Admission to the event will be free to military families - as special guests of the event's organizers.

The competition will run June 24 - 27, at the Texas Rose Horse Park and will bring together top mounted color guard and drill team units from throughout the United States.

All members of the armed forces are encouraged to attend in uniform!

The city of Lindale, Texas will be the host community and title sponsor of Super Ride VII: the 2009 United States Equestrian Drill Championship, scheduled for June 24 - 27, at the Texas Rose Horse Park.

Known from the 1950's as the "Blackberry Capital of the World", Lindale has in recent years experienced a surge in residential, retail, and other commercial development. Lindale is one of the fastest growing communities in East Texas.

The United States Equestrian Drill Championship brings together mounted color guard and drill team units from throughout the United States.

The 2009 event will feature the Second USEDC Ride of Champions on Friday evening, June 26th, and the USEDC National Open Drill Championship on Saturday evening, June 27th. A musical ride by the 2009 USEDC Youth All Star Team will showcase the skills of young riders from across the nation during the Saturday evening performance.

Special screenings of "The Spirit of Aachen" - a documentary for television, have been confirmed for April 17th in Las Vegas (NV), April 24th in Lexington (KY) and June 26th at the Texas Rose Horse Park, near Lindale (TX).

The one-hour program presents a compelling look at the annual CHIO Aachen - World Equestrian Festival in Germany. Aachen has been a major fixture on the international equestrian calendar for over one hundred years.

Alan Moorhead will return as voice of Super Ride VII

Popular television host, rodeo and equine sports announcer Alan Moorhead has been confirmed as the principal announcer for Super Ride VII: The 2009 United States Equestrian Drill Championship (USEDC). The event will run June 23 - 27 at the Texas Rose Horse Park, within minutes of Lindale, Texas.
